Vicente Marzal was born in 1991 in Valencia, Spain. Shortly after his birth, his parents realized his absence of reaction to auditory stimuli and the doctors corroborated this fact recognizing a total congenital hearing impairment.
In the first years of his life, Vicente had already taken drawing and painting as a form of expression. His surprising ease to capture both his emotions and realism of the daily things lead his parents to give him the opportunity to enhance those innate skills by introducing him to an arts training institution at the age of two.
In 1999, at the age of eight, Vicente had surgery in La Fe Hospital in Valencia to receive a cochlear implant in order to be able to restore his sense of hearing. The operation was successful and reached more than the original goal. Soon with the help of professionals, Vicente began to hear noises that gradually transformed into sounds.
After receiving his Bachelor degree in Arts, Vicente felt the need to go to Firenze to pursue his artistic formation and to immerse himself in Western Art. At the Academia dell Arte in Firenze, he taught himself in painting, classic drawing and sculpture.
During his many travels to New-York and London as self-taught, Marzal was permeated by Modern Art. Following his artistic nature, he worked as a photographer and a video editor for Group Spain Media Magazines, editor for major magazines as Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire or Forbes. He was also initiated with success in graphic design, creating the identity of some companies.
Recently, he closed with a great success his first painting and sculpture exhibition, in the city of Valencia, receiving hundreds of visitors including many personalities from national art.
